What are smokers lines?

Smokers lines are vertical lines that develop around the mouth due to repeated puckering of the lips (Creating a kiss shape with your lips).

These lines can develop on non-smokers as well just depending on how often the puckering action is repeated, and like most other wrinkles they are also caused by age, sun exposure, genetics and of course smoking.

The severity of these vertical wrinkles around the mouth can depend on the thickness of the skin around your lips. The thicker your skin is, the less likely you are to develop severe smokers lines.
